Rep. Tishaura Jones receives Statesman Award
from the Regional Commerce and Growth Assocation.
MO Rep. Tishaura Jones (D-St. Louis) proudly displays her first Statesman Award, which was presented by RCGA Public Policy Council member Marilyn Bush, Senior Vice President of Public Finance for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, which is an Ambassador Sponsor of the RCGA's Government Affairs program.
General Assembly Passes Autism Insurance Reform
The Missouri General Assembly sent a bill to the Governor's desk today that will mandate insurance coverage for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). HB 1311/1341, sponsored by Reps. Dwight Scharnhorst (R-St. Louis County) and Jason Grill (D-Platte) was the result of several years of work by both gentlemen and hours of compromise from those in the Autism Community, the Insurance Industry, and leaders in both the House and Senate. Rep. Jones was very instrumental in its passage.
